Archivio is a magazine focused on archive's culture, in its many dimensions. The magazine is exclusively built from relevant archive documents from all over the world, using mostly unpublished materials and mixing art, fashion, culture, sport, design, cinema, science and photography.

In this issue:

When did fashion become obsessed with its own history?
The third cycle of ARCHIVE begins here: four thematic issues, each edited by a Guest Editor specialized in the sector who opens the doors of the archives for us and shows us where to observe in these vast worlds. The first, ARCHIVIO N°9, is dedicated to Fashion, with Stefano Tonchi – curator and journalist in the sector – as Guest Editor-in-Chief, supported by Marco Pecorari – scholar and Program Director of the MA in Fashion Studies at Parsons in Paris. The editorial direction is by Daniela Hamaui, while the artistic direction is by Alessandro Gori. For the cover we asked the artist Francesco Vezzoli to create a portfolio that brought fashion archives into dialogue with pop culture.

ARCHIVE N°9 explores the international panorama of fashion archives and the numerous types of studies that are taking place in today's world. All divided into three sections: Public & Institutional , Brand & Strategies , Private & Personal .
The Fashion Issue also includes a special poster: an (in)complete mapping of the countless fashion archives in Italy. A Reminder search visually processed by Accurat. The result is a map that is also a small work of art.
