Created by a couple of self-identified ‘makers’, the Glasgow-born publication We Are Makers exists to ‘connect the reader and the maker’ while providing an opportunity for in-depth stories to be shared, craft to be (deservedly) shown off and creative communities cultivated.
In this issue:
Every edition of We Are Makers is about the people behind the craft – and this one’s no different. In Edition 14, we personally visit blacksmiths in rural France and a coin artist in the hills of Slovakia, and speak with makers across the world: a weaver in New Mexico, a jeweller in Devon, a puppet maker in Iceland, a stained glass artist in Canada, and more.
Stories that remind us it’s never just about the object – it’s about the hands, the history, and the human behind it.
Whether you’re reading for the first time or the fourteenth, thank you for being part of this community. Your curiosity and care help amplify these voices and keep the maker spirit alive
As always, it’s about more than what’s made – it’s about who’s making it.
